Our client, is an international organisation that provides university pathway programmes and placement services to international students, who are looking to study in universities in the UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, etc. Our client is seeking an experienced governance manager, to join their growing team.

This newly created position will support the senior leadership team by overseeing key actions across the business, assisting the Board of Directors' sub-committees, and helping the Board Secretary with agenda-setting, meetings, and follow-up actions.


Key facts:

Full-time, permanent role

Salary: circa £40,000 per annum

Remote role - candidates can be based anywhere in the UK

 

Overview:

The Governance Manager will oversee internal governance processes, support decision-making, and ensure effective risk management across the organisation. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting the senior leadership team, managing key actions across the business, servicing the organisation’s Board of Directors’ sub-committees, and assisting the Board Secretary in the delivery of agenda-setting, meetings, and follow-up actions.

Additionally, the role will provide comprehensive support to the Senior Leadership Team, Regional Meetings, the Academic Group, the Sanctions Group, and other internal meetings or task-and-finish groups as required.

Working closely with the Board Secretary, the Governance Manager will also support the organisation’s Board Sub-Committees, including the Business Assurance Committee, People and Culture Committee, and Academic Committee.

 

We’re looking for candidates who have:

·       Proven experience in high-quality committee work.

·       Governance experience in higher education, or similar complex environments.

·       Track record of continuous improvement and delivering results in complex organisations.

·       Experience in managing projects, difficult situations, and maintaining high professional standards.

·       Knowledge of project management methodology or equivalent experience.

·       Experience in managing change projects and influencing cultural change.
