Quality Assurance Manager


The role

The purpose of this varied role is to promote and uphold regulatory compliance and best practices in delivering Apprenticeships and Higher Education. This includes managing academic quality and standards, overseeing Higher Education and apprenticeship data, and ensuring the quality assurance and enhancement of our client’s educational programs.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will engage with various regulatory frameworks, such as Ofsted and funding rules, ensuring compliance with regulations. You will also support student compliance processes, and collaborate on different team projects.


Key facts

-        This is a full time, permanent contract

-        Starting salary range of between £35,000 - £38,000 per annum.

-        Hybrid working – you can choose to work from home up to circa 90% of the time if preferred (as long as you can be flexible about occasional travel to our client’s offices for team-wide and committee meetings, inspections etc.)

 

The ideal candidate

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented quality assurance specialist to join a dynamic and very supportive team. This role is ideal for either:

1)     Candidates with a background in apprenticeships from a QA perspective, who have an understanding of regulations, or

2)     Candidates with QA experience and regulatory knowledge gained in the higher education sector, who are willing to be trained in apprenticeship.

You will thrive in this role if you have: the ability to interpret complex documents and apply them within an organisation; have experience working effectively with senior management; are familiar with Ofsted inspections and external audits.

This role will suit you if you have:

·        Knowledge of regulatory expectations (OfS/QAA/ESFA/Ofsted)

·        A strong grasp of current quality assurance and enhancement issues in HE, and how to apply good/best practice

·        An understanding of how to apply HE General & Academic Regulations for Students

·        External experience, of working in a Quality environment.
