Personal and professional development

Coaching

Our coaching service for personal and professional development is provided by Fiona Wilson. Fiona provides an 11-hour package that includes (along with coaching the individual) scoping and review with the coachee’s sponsor (e.g., their employer).

Fiona provides the service over Zoom. In-person coaching is available on request (at an enhanced rate. Extension packages are also available.

Fiona has been coaching two senior colleagues. I have been extremely impressed by Fiona's approach in terms of structuring the sessions to get the most for employer and coachee but also her collaborative style. It's very clear that there are tangible results from the coaching and this is both beneficial to the business and wonderful to see my colleagues blossom.

I had the opportunity to work with Fiona for the past ten months through coaching. Fiona is an incredible person to work with. She shows openness, warmth and is always patient. Fiona ensured a safe space to explore the issues I want to work on without any judgment, while guiding me in searching for my own answers to my questions. We set goals at the start and throughout the period we were able to reflect on self-achievement. If you have the opportunity, do it!

Coaching on presentations

Our Communications Director, Anthony Haynes, is vastly experienced at presentation coaching. In his sessions he provides personalised guidance on presentations as part of a selection process - and also more generally.

As Anthony says, “So many candidates aim merely to do presentations the same as everyone else - but if you do that you won’t stand out from the herd. If you want to land the job, the art lies in doing it better”.

Resources on presentations

Our podcast, Recruitment in the Modern World, provides episodes on coaching - for example, “Coaching: an inside view’ and ‘Establishing a coaching culture’.

It also provides episodes giving practical guidance on presentations- for example, ‘Candidates: how to give a presentation’ and ‘Candidates: the craft of presentation’.
